Sad News: Shaykh Abdur Razzaq Halabi passes away

I just came across this:

Inna lillahi wa inna ilayhi rajioon. .
The Shaykh of Jamia al Umawiya, the Hanafi Faqih of ash-Sham, al Imam al Allama ash-Shaykh Abdur Razzaq al Halabi has left this world. May Allāh grant him the lofty Jannat al Firdaws. May Allāh gather us with him and all the pious ones on the Day of Qiyama. May Allāh protect Sham ash Sharif, the Ahl us Sunnah within it and all over the world from all fitan through the wasila of the blessed shaykh. Amin bi jah in-Nabi al Ameen salAllahu alayhi wa sallam.

Does anyone have any info on this very sad news?

There's a couple of Arabic forums and Facebook pages saying it, I'm afraid it may be true.

May Allah make his grave a garden of paradise and accept his services to the ummah and cause us to benefit by his efforts, bijaahi nabiyyina Muhammad, sal Allahu 3alaihi wa sallam.

Innaa lillaahi wa innaa ilaihi raaji3oon.

I got this in email from one of the mailing lists I'm on.

We pray this message finds everyone in good health and the most elevated state of spirits, in sha Allah.

We regret to inform you that Sayyidi Shaykh Abdul Razzaq al-Halabi (The Hanafi Fiqh Master ) from Damascus has has Passed Away . inna lillahi wa inna ilayhi raji’un .

Shaykh Muhammad Abul Huda al-Yaqoubi Says :

”We show deep sorrow to inform the Islamic Ummah about the lofty ‘Allama, our teacher Shaykh ‘Abd al Razaq al- Halabi – Allah be merciful to him – who has passed on to the mercy of Allah at Fajr Saturday 12 Rabi Awwal 1433 corresponding to 4th February 2012 at the age of 87. The Shaykh – Allah be merciful to him – was born in Damascus Sha’ban 1343 AH – 1925 M. He was prayed over after the Zuhur prayer today in Jami’ al-Thanaa in al-’Adawi, Damascus in the neighbouring areas to his home, then buried at the al-Dahah cemetery. Condolences at Ma’had al-Fath al-Islami/Jami’ Abu Ayyub Ansari.”
