wa alaykum salam sidi,

in effect he said that until the publication of the 'utterly burnable' book [to quote shaykh GFH] by shah ismail dilhavi called taqwiyatul imaan everyone was together [shias excluded]. so that book and the deobandis defence of its contents led to the division of the sunnis of the subcontinent.
