she is a famous saint of islam. if i remember correctly bro. asif did post a biography on the old forum.
anyway, i read that when she was buried, the angels asked her, who is your Lord? she said, you have come so far, you have not forgotten, i have only gone a few feet down, how would i have forgotten? my question is how could people know this happened in the grave? pir abdul qadir jilani mentioned this incident to show that some matters can be known even if they are beyond common understanding. |

It is a powerful question. I don't know the answer. I certainly don't think it can be proven. (My hunch is that such things are made known to certain awliya by kashf or unveiling. Allah and His Messenger know best.)That is why I don't think such incidents can be verified by the common man and shouldn't be mentioned so openly in lectures to the public. Imagine a sceptic or non-Muslim or Wahabbi was listening to that lecture by pir sahib. Imagine if he'd asked the question you just have. What a ruckus would have resulted. Yet if someone asked that question in good faith a lot of brothers would shout him down for not being a Sunni!! The poor fellow might even get beaten up! Worst of all, it gives ammunition to the Wombles of Najdidom Common.
