sincere apologies. this was a 3-day event and i only posted about the second day.

yesterday, we had the lion of ahlu's sunnah, sayyid muzaffar husain of karachi.

he spoke for nearly 2 hours and wow! what a wonderful speaker; full of ilm, strong arguments, and excellent quotes. i am not someone easily impressed but i truly am with the sayyid. may Allah preserve him.

alahazrat says that a sunni aalim who is also sayyid is: noorun 'ala noor.

as for the second day, sayyid mash'hadi was excellent, as ever.

mawlana abu zohra was muhaqqiqana, as ever. an excellent speech on usul. actions like tarawih, jam'a qur'an have always existed but when they happen in an organised fashion, this is seen as the 'beginning' of that act. mawlid has always happened on an individual level but it happening in an organised fashion began as early as the 3rd century. this doesn't mean it didn't happen before.

mufti akmal was brilliant, as ever. his speech mentioned similar points to mawlana abu zohra.

The blessed Sayyid, Pir Sayyid Muzaffar Hussain Shah Sahib will be on Ummah Channel tonight from 9pm!

Good post Brother Aqdas, one sad thing is hardly any Shah Sahib's lectures in UK have been uploaded online. Shah Sahib will leave the UK on the 13th of February.

I too have heard this HOWEVER Sayid Irfan Shah Saab met Mufti Akmal with a huge hug and Shah Saab ripped through TUQ and mufti Akmal sat right through it..

this was a year ago. it would be best to ask mufti akmal his opinion of jhangvi post-wembley.

Tahir's deviancy was well known at that point in time. This was even after his infamous 'believers' speech and the christmas fiasco in his 'masjid'. edit mod [aqdas] mufti Akmal should make a public declaration regarding his view and this should be brought to Shah Sahib's attention.

Tahirul Padri. Same with every other alim.
