As far as I can deduce Hazrat Madani Mian has not issued a fatwa but based their opinion of Dr Tahir-ul-Qadri on the research of others (which is open to debate and interpretation).

This time a video. I think its high time some ashrafi sent a detailed istifta to the Sayyid requesting an official fatwa on the lines of the FUREC one. Anybody got contacts? http://m.youtube.com/watch?gl=US&hl=...ldescription=1 ( you wont believe what one ashrafi told me about Madni Miyan's fatwa on Jilani Miyan. He said, "mufti mutiurRahman has said that takfir of a Sayyid by another Sayyid does not carry weight AS LONG AS BOTH ARE UPON TRUTH ". I don't know if such a fatwa exists, but the amusing thing is that this guy completely ignored the qualification "AS LONG AS BOTH ARE UPON TRUTH" and said that though he considers Madni Miyan as the final authority he does'nt accept this fatwa! And after the above video he says, look, Madni Miyan doesn't consider TuQ as kafir but only gumrah, so do i. When i said that Madni Miyan might be unaware of TuP's kufr and that the FUREC fatwa gives a fair idea about Madni Miyan's principles, he goes: "but that fatwa's between Sayyids, remember?" !! I spent two fruitless hours trying to make him agree on the principles atleast, he didn't budge. I see that a cornerstone of TuP fans' arguments is that, "Oh but shaykh xyz supports him and Sayyid Fulan doesn't call him kafir and Mufti pqr has attended his abc program etc. etc. ad infinitum". They're demanding an IJMA for TuP's takfir, till then its all darkness, Good Night ! )
